Online Advertising / Pay Per Click or PPC
Organic search results are search engine listings that result from in inquiry using certain key words.  They are the pages that appear because of their relevance to the specific search terms generated by the prospective buyer, as opposed to public advertisements which are generated from the seller. However, though, non-organic search results pages may also include advertising called pay per click or PPC.
Google, Yahoo and other search engines use a combination of advertising as well as search results on their search results pages. These ads do not appear randomly. They are also generated by the search terms of the prospective buyer. This is called targeted marketing.
Search engine  ads are designed to look similar to the search results, though they differ in formatting just enough for readers to make distinctions between organic results and ads, such as their background color and/or placement on the page.
The advantages of pay per click or PPC  advertising are:

  • More efficient cost of advertising per person
  • Minimal expense
  • Your ad is guaranteed prominent ranking in search results
  • Ad campaigns can be limited to a budget
  • Ad campaigns can also be altered daily in response to previous results
